What Band Does This CL Ad Belong To?

Middle aged, pudgy Korean rapper seeks dancers and models for his new music video, The goal is to put it up on YouTube and let it go viral. Only sexy Asian ladies may apply for this opportunity. Please send a picture along with a short essay on why you should be considered.

It might be a bit more of an homage to history, if people knew the order in which players came into bands. The Who one was wildly off; Moon came last. The Rush ones, and all of mine, have honored true history, as have most of the others. I'm almost willing to put up money that nobody gets my latest (post #45), before this thread reaches page 5.

You got me stumped there, Spank.

Here's another one-

Relocated (to Chi.from Austin) established and signed noise rock trio seeks hard-hitting drummer to replace our machine. Must be comfortable with public nudity, loud stage volume, epic live shows, and relentless tour schedules. No wimps allowed.

Rhythm and Blues cover band seeks guitarist. Just a sub at first, but eventually you must be able to take over leadership of group and transform us into one of the strangest bands in rock history. Instistence on rehearsing us for long hours to play very difficult music is a big plus.

The Mothers of Invention, on the eve of Zappa's arrival.

Gotta ask everyone if they can try putting themselves into the mindset of the band at the time the hypothetical ad would have been written. It makes the guessing that much more difficult (along with the already-covered honoring history thing). My stumper in #45 is a current artist, with a recording career dating back to the late 70's. The hypothetical ad would be from about a year ago....and I would still be impressed, if someone guesses it, on the first try.

Acoustic duo with strong harmonies and melodies seeks bass player and drummer to experiment with newer sounds. Open to many styles, especially african, latin, jazz, etc. Looking to expand and create something new.

Pop rock band looking for musicians who can act. Strong usical ability a plus, but not required so long as willingness to learn and grow is there. Must look hip, have an excellent sense of humor, and good comedic sense. Must either be or look between the ages of 17 & 27.

Successful 4 peice band (gold and platinum albums) looking to replace lead singer. Must have lots of presence, and be able to totally command a stage. Music in the vein of zep, pearl jam, maybe a twist of doors influence. Absolutely no drugs, and please have a clean police record.

OK, getting out the door, now, and there looks to be some good Chicks at Shows thread imagery in the offing, based upon the Facebook RSVP's.

I'll guess that the top one above might be for CSNY, and the middle one above might be for the Tubes, but both are vaguely written, to the point where they might be a few other acts, as well. Nice stumpers, Joe. That's how this game should be played.

#1 could be CSNY as Plank said but I'm going for Simon and Garfunkel

#2 Partridge Family?

no idea on #3
