What bass do i have???

Hi everyone!
I got this bass from a friend a while ago, and I'm not exactly sure what model or brand it is, I tried googling it but I can't seem to find it...I guess it kinda looks like a Fender...:hmm: sorry a bit unfamiliar with this! The only words I can find written on it are DENVER across the head.

Much thanks

It could be a Fender, or it could be a Fender copy. The headstock looks pretty close to the "real" P bass - but it could be a lawsuit bass. The best way to tell is to take it apart and see what markings are on the neck heel, the neck cavity, and the electronics cavity, and also to see the markings on the pots and the capacitor.

Edit: I think the lack of a skunk stripe (back of neck) indicates it's probably not a vintage Fender neck.

It's not gonna be a Fender. Nobody in their right mind would refinish a Fender headstock to put a Denver decal on it. Even if you do take it apart I doubt you'll find anything revealing. Most likely it's one of the barely documented Korean copy brands from the early 1980s.
