I'm trying my best to resist a new bass purchase. CG is probably selling USA Fenders today for $10.00 - and I'm not going near the place. I have a PRE-CBS-P, a 2001 USA Jazz that I do most of my gigs with, an SX SJB 62 BK for outdoor crazy party gigs and really smokey bars + an Upright. I would like to keep it there for a while - and save my money for REAL GAS (to put in my truck once in a while)

Probably some cheap Fender or Squier P-Bass, which I'll customize with new p'ups, hardware, neck, whatever. I get a kick out of using these cheapo basses with decent upgrades.
Oh this is a hard one.... There are a few on my ASAP list that I equally want but each for a different reason... I will likely need help in deciding....
• Schecter Hellcat VI (black)- a short scale six-string, a la Fender Bass VI
• DiPinto Belvedere Standard (black)- a gorgeous big sounding semi-hollow
• Luna Pandora (blush, single cutaway)-an inexpensive bass that is part of the Luna line of instruments aimed primarily at female players (Luna is part of the same entity that Dean is part of). This bass in this particular color scheme just beckons me for some reason. I can see using it as a primary back-up bass, with a powder blue monster-fur strap.
• Hofner Contemporary violin bass (black)- there's a certain charm about the Hofner violin basses, and I always imagined they'd look good in black. The new Contemporary model is available in black and it looks so classic and classy.
But realistically, I think my "next" bass will actually be one that I already have- My Epiphone Rivoli is currently not-playable and in need of a new pickup, so once I get that taken care of it'll be like a new bass...

If I ever get my playing up to the point I feel it deserving a quality bass, first thing I'd do then is get a Stingray.
Of course between now and then I might get a few more el cheapo basses, but those don't really count do they?

Definately a Lakland Decade. The retro look is eye-catching and its got amazing, great parts (including a fast neck and darkstar pups)

I'm in the process of buying a fretless Corvette from a fellow TBer. My local GC went from having no Warwicks to having about 6 of them. I have Warick GASSSSS now
