Was actually thinking about an Ibanez TMB600 but then came to my senses. I now have 7 basses and I'm sure as its happened in the past, it would soon become one more member of the herd and lose its novelty.

Glad to hear you and the P Bass are getting on grand

For 32 year I've been after a 3 octave fretless Tune Bass Maniac. It was a year's wages when I first read about it
and in the lifetime since I've only heard from 3 folk who own one. There's a fella in Japan, unsurprisingly they are Japanese basses ,one in Italy and a fella in OZ had one but the neck developed a fault

Got the headsup on Sunday morning and the wait is nearly over.Currently sitting in UK customs while they decide whether it'll cost my firstborn or my kidneys for import duty

10 days and a further £250 later the wait ended

Thinking of a 1/2 size cello to bass conversion.

But what I really am looking for is a bass or contrabass balalaika. Seem to be rather hard to find in the states.

I've been giving it a good work out today, and man is it sweet.

That will probably do me for awhile......... although, there is a lovely little Rob Allen Koa top over in the classifieds that would do nicely to replace one that I had to sell a few years back : )

NS Design CR5 fretted is my main bass these days (live anyway), i'm planning on getting the fretless version once funds are available (which is likely to be right about the time that I'm too old and deaf to enjoy it).

Yamaha BB425x. I have a cheaper version of this (BB415), which is how i know I'd like it. I highly recommend it for those who want a PJ.

This is one of the ones that is on my list as well, though I wish it was available in a natural finish

Realistically, a Fender Elite Jazz 4 in natural. If I didn't have a wedding to chip in for, an MTD.

I'm actually building / putting together my next Bass from Warmoth parts; it's everything I want in a Bass; it's Transparent Green alder body, (NOT Surf or Sea Foam, Yuk,) Gloss finish, Maple neck with blocks and binding, (the pickguard will be either black or tort) Geezer Butler PJ set, Fender high mass Bridge and Schaller tuners ... and Ernie Ball nickel plated Steel strings 45-105 ... and I have never, ever seen a Bass like that anywhere!
