What bass do you plan to get next?

I currently have 1 P, 1 J, 1 PJ, 1 5er with sopabars, 1 short scale semy hollow.
I'm gassing for a fretless and it probably will be the next.
But what I'd really want to have is a Mazursczyk. Two maybe, 1 jake a nnd one Elwood. Who am I to decide the Blues Brothers?
Ah and my dream is a Roscoe Beck, but it's not so easy to find here in Italy. There are a few used in awful colors

I have 3 which is 1 too many. All 6-strings: Status Graphite Stealth, Zon Vinny and Turner Renissance. I have been trying if I should sell the Status or Zon. The Status is currently getting all the playing time, but that could change.

I understand your point, but directly attacking someone else's taste can lead to an ugly situation. I have been there and done that.

I want a decent passive p with a "big" bottom end and a matching headstock. i havent really seen much in the way of options within my price range, so im probably not going to get another bass for a while.

I should mention that I rip the OE strings off of most of my SXes the day they come in and swap in decent strings. I think if I can get one of the Ursa 3's with a black pickguard, I am good to go out of the box with fresh strings.

I REALLY like the PJ configuration, active basses have lost their luster with me, and oddly enough, I am completely enamored with the neck and body on my Ursa 1...

Honestly, I am half tempted to grab a good set of PJ pickups, Quarter pounders or something, and a PJ wiring kit, with output jack, route and drill the Ursa 1 to make it an Ursa 3 and be done with it. I LOVE that neck although the headstock, well, meh... Some days I like, it, others not so much...

I've been thinking of finding or starting an "acoustic" project and, even though my Precision would probably sound great in that kind of setting (especially after I replaced the strings with LaBella Deep Talkin' Flats!), I've been thinking a semi-hollow might be a good choice for that kind of project. Maybe something like an Ibanez Artcore or a Warwick Rockbass Star Bass, neither of those should break the bank.

After reading some of the 14 part SX Bass Club threads I think there must be something to these basses. I can't wait to try one in all it's underrated glory!

Even though I have a stable of excellent basses, I know I will have to buy one of the new Fender Flea Jazz basses down the road.

I want a classic passive Fender jazz to pair with my active Modulus jazz (two very different jazz tones). Other than that, I got nothing in my scopes for now.

Though I might want a USA Geddy sig in lieu of the Flea bass. But I'm still waiting to try the Flea model before I decide.

And now for something completely different: Kala U-Bass. Yes, a good friend of mine is a ukulele player, along with his wife, and they run both a college ukulele group and a community ukulele group. They asked me to provide the foundation for the ensembles. So I bought a bubinga U-Bass. I got bubinga instead of the mahogany rumbler to get a little more definition to play it with other groups as well.

Have a parts P bass in progress now, so not sure if that one counts or not but beyond that I'm thinking of a G&L SB-2. That will be down the road a bit though as I am at 10 now and this P build will make 11. Not exactly swimming in spare cash at the moment so...

Probably a Warmoth build. 5 string reversed 4+1 headstock with hipshot detuners to drop the B&E strings to A&D

Not sure on body style, most likely Jaguar or Jazz and there will be purpleheart wood involved somewhere.


Or I might stay with my current one. Really not GASsing at all for a new bass.

I'm thinking about ordering a Kiesel RV69K Roy Vogt Signature bass. This one is on their "Guitars IN Stock" page, but I would probably have one built to order if I could only decide how I want it configured. They have so many options.
