What bass do you plan to get next?

Lots of Gibsons and Epis. You guys make me happy. It seems like some of you are willing to go with the unpopular choice. Just make sure you pair it with the right amp. It makes all the difference.

I worry about Gibson killing off their bass models due to the lack of profit inherent in these products. If there is still interest in these models (new or used), Gibson's decision may change.

I plan on picking one of theses Fender MIM Offset Mustang's when they come out in Oct.

I'd like to finish my jazz project. Finishing the body in Ed Roth Gang Green (rattle can) base and flake (used rattle can flake, but it was only 4 mm and I thought I would look bigger - would like to use the 12 mm and since I don't have a spray rig I'd make a shaker using a mason jar and screen or drill slightly larger holes and shake it onto self leveling sealer, maybe even use different sizes or shades of green, even throw in some yellow/gold to give it depth). Warmoth flamed J neck, white binding and pearl block inlays, white Tusq nut, mirror gold PG and HW, sealed white pups (probably EMG or Lace as I already have a jazz with Barts, and they don't come in white).

Store bought, I'd like a VM Mustang SS in silver sparkle, Classic 70's jazz in natural with black block inlays, Geddy Lee signature, EB-0 or a Chickenbacker knock off (hey, don't have the scratch for a real Rick, but some I've seen are decent with upgrades).

Recent acquisition, last Sunday... Thanks again, JJP_1984_LB50! Going to make some time, in the very near future, to peruse a local pawn shop... Then, and only then, will I be able to see what all the 'hoopla' is over these high-end basses (they're all beautiful, by the way)... The salesman mentioned current stock consisted of several Sadowsky, F and R basses, and 5 golden rings in a pear tree... should be a good day to get out of work early... as is any day, really.
