i would say simon gallup but hes a regular guy that just happend to get lucky and play with some great musos that brought out the best in him.:bassist:

I know " Uriah Heep " was never as big in USA as they were in Europe and down here in Australia , but I feel they gained a lot from the bass playing until his demise in 75 , the legend ,

Probably get a kicking from the purists for this one ; but , another who fits this catogory is Timothy B Schmit ,
his bass lines fill the gaps so well and his timing is impecable, He's also a great singer , whether solo or in his traditional back up role, and what a high voice.
