What Bass Would You Get?

If money was no object then what bass would you get? Personally I would buy a custom Alembic JE Exploiter.

I already have it. I bought it used and there are a few things I would have ordered differently if I were doing the custom order myself (longer upper strap horn, different bridge-end strap button placement, zero fret) but other than that, here ya go:

Brian Ristola six-string: It has 2 Delano dual-coil pickups (the switches are for series/parallel, one per pickup), and it has a 9v Aguilar OPB 3-band preamp with a push/pull mid pot (400/800). The top is flamed maple, and the ramp & fretboard are pao ferro. The body is ash and the neck is maple with bubinga runners. The hardware is Hipshot and it has 24 frets. By next month, it will also have the Buzz Feiten system and the bridge-end strap button moved farther up the side to the left.

I would perfect my Warmoth. Nothing wrong with the design, just get a new body and neck (swamp ash and maple/maple) because the ones I have have slight blemishes. And maybe get the bridge pickup routed lower.

I'd also go with a JP90 or a nice Fender Jazz bass.

Tried a Carvin Icon5 Fretless, but it just wasn't for me. I guess being born with a Precision in my hand scarred me for life... ;-)
