What basses are on your wishlist?

Not all of us have a ready supply of GAS money, and I find myself lusting after basses I'll realistically likely never own, or at least not until my kids are launched and my retirement is funded.

In addition to a 1985 Peavey Patriot, my main bass is this 2014 MIM Classic 50s Lacquer. I've also owned a 2006 '57 AVRI in trans white, a 2008 American Standard P in Black, a 2010 American Standard P in Charcoal, a 2003 (IIRC) American Series P in Butterscotch, a '98 American Series P in Black, a 90s MIM fretless Jazz in that deep blue/violet colour, and a Squier Vintage Modified fretless sunburst Jazz from around 2006-2007.

What I *want* includes:
- a single coil P (ideally in Nitro butterscotch/yellow), either a Tele or a reissue of some sort
- a Roadworn Flea Jazz (one of the best necks I've ever had my hands on)
- a P or a J in a sparkle or metallic finish, like an Adam Clayton sig P, or even a MIA Candy Cola P or J
- a 4-string Stingray
- a 5-string P bass
- a Lakland Duck Dunn

I can forget about Santa, I'll never be good enough for any of that, let alone all of it.

I've been wanting a Fender American Standard Jazz Bass in 3-tone sunburst with rosewood. It's the second most generic bass in existence so I won't post a picture. But yeah, GAS is a lady dog.

GAS/Wish list bass. Pretty simple. I'd love one of these. Either a 60s or early 70s USA Fender or the MIJ version made in the 90s (I think.) Sadly, these things are more expensive than they should be!

My dream wishlist would replace a couple of my Squier workhorses with older Fenders and add more expensive versions of basses I would like to have.
All basses would be black or some shade of green...
A Fullerton era P bass, Jazz Bass and Elite II
Lakland 55-94 with a mod to add a split coil in place of the J pickup, or just find/make a P5 with that spec, but I want a split coil in the sweet spot with the BEA coil in the proper spot, the DA coil on the neck side of it and the MM pickup in it's proper sweet spot.
A 54 style single coil P, maybe add another single coil to the bridge. Big, round neck.
A Jetglo Ric 4001/3 with a neck that isn't so round and non tapered.
and a MM Stingray four string HH or HS or pre EB 2 band.

My realistic wish list is really just GAS.
I would like a black Lakland 55-02 or US Dlx Precision V, the Lakland is easier to find and less $, however.
a black or metallic gray Peavey Foundation S or black Ibanez RB650 to be my passive PJ with rounds.
maybe mod my Squier Tele bass and add a single coil P pickup to it.

You stole my post almost completely, except that I'd go straight for the MIJ - all of the American Fender "student" basses I've ever played were actually pretty bad either due to abuse (by "students") or because (especially in the later years) they actually got less attention than the long scale ones did - often both were the case.

PLUS - MIJ 32" PBass - I NEED a good P (pretty happy with the modded Squier that's filling that hole right now, but I NEED shorter scale now (carpel tunnel) and prefer the quality and feel of the MIJ stuff to the (admittedly quite good) Chinese stuff.

P.S. The JMJ Mustang looks pretty sweet (lollipops!) and supposedly sounds great - a slightly beefier pickup than the standard MIM and MIJs have - which is a good thing and while I prefer to beat up my own basses - it's a really nice look with the blue.
