What basses are on your wishlist?

I have a few. And if anyone here on Talkbass wants has one or both of these basses, feel free to contact me if you ever want to sell them.

The first is an Ernie Ball Music Man Bongo 4H PDN Neptune Blue with the roasted maple neck and fretboard.

The other one is a Charvel 2B in the metallic blue color.

Here are pics of what each one looks like.

I saw one of those Bongos advertised just the other day but never bookmarked it. I can retrace my footsteps Jay if you are still interested and I'll see if I can find it again. Feel free to private message me if you wish.

If it is the one on eBay and Reverb that is a 4 HS, the guy is a scammer. He was trying to originally sell it as brand new so I messaged him and asked how he was able to sell it for more than MAP if it was brand new with warranty as he claimed and what PDN dealer was he? He responded back saying he bought the bass directly from EBMM as a wholesale from an email he received from them and he could sell the bass for whatever price he wanted. EBMM and Sterling Ball both confirmed his claims were false and that the bass was used and had no warranty. I reported him to Reverb and he had to change his listing to used.

If you did come across a 4 H or even a 5 H then yes, if you could try and find it again, I would be extremely grateful! The 2 basses I have listed our my unicorn basses.

I found the Charvel on Reverb but the guy selling it is overseas and my cost with shipping would be over $1,000.00 sonI passed on it even though it was in great shape. I couldn’t see paying that much for a bass only worth around $300.00.

TUNE 5-string Bass Maniac (Honda Fireblade as a bass guitar: Big Horsepower in a tiny chassis, makes a Soundgear Ibanez feel tubby in comparison)

TUNE 5-string Wood Bass (Alembic-design electronics, the first piezo-only electric fretless that works)

ARIA 5-string SB (Yippee ! ! Now I can play the Duran catalog including 'Reach Out for the Sunrise' on one axe instead of switching like JT does . . . . now if I could only do everything else JT does . . . .)

MusicMan neckthru StingRay 5, single humbucker (The original StingRay Five was the first off-the-rack five that just worked for anybody and everybody, and eliminating that heel and bolt-neck now makes it perfect. Period. IF I could only have one of these four, this would be it. Everything you need, nothing you don't.)

I've had everything else I ever wanted at one time or another.

Not all of us have a ready supply of GAS money, and I find myself lusting after basses I'll realistically likely never own, or at least not until my kids are launched and my retirement is funded. :)

In addition to a 1985 Peavey Patriot, my main bass is this 2014 MIM Classic 50s Lacquer. I've also owned a 2006 '57 AVRI in trans white, a 2008 American Standard P in Black, a 2010 American Standard P in Charcoal, a 2003 (IIRC) American Series P in Butterscotch, a '98 American Series P in Black, a 90s MIM fretless Jazz in that deep blue/violet colour, and a Squier Vintage Modified fretless sunburst Jazz from around 2006-2007.

What I *want* includes:
- a single coil P (ideally in Nitro butterscotch/yellow), either a Tele or a reissue of some sort
- a Roadworn Flea Jazz (one of the best necks I've ever had my hands on)
- a P or a J in a sparkle or metallic finish, like an Adam Clayton sig P, or even a MIA Candy Cola P or J
- a 4-string Stingray
- a 5-string P bass
- a Lakland Duck Dunn

I can forget about Santa, I'll never be good enough for any of that, let alone all of it. :)

What's on your wish list?

Pics of my Classic 50s P bass included.

Besides a Carl Thompson, I would like to own all three of these beauties. They would go nicely with the Ken Lawrence that I already own. We are 'wishing' here, correct? Pics from Ken's Facebook page. Go big or go home. :)
