I have never had the bank book to worry about some of the basses mentioned here. I can't even afford to look at some of them. :) So, I will just say my wish list is simple, I would like to have a 5 string. Probably an Ibanez. I have played a few of them and really like the feel of the neck. I currently have a 6 and a few 4's, so a 5 would be a nice addition. Also, I have always wanted a fretless. I played a Michael Kelly fretless in a music store one time and really liked the feel and sound.
Maybe make it simple ... a 5 string fretless Ibanez ...:hyper:

The ones that keep reappearing on my wish list whenever I allow myself to daydream:

- a Curbow XT-33 6-string
- an Alembic Series I w/ 32" scale length and standard small body
- a Travis Bean TB-2000
- a pre-Gibson Tobias Classic 5
- an early (circa 2007?) Knuckle Quake, the original neck-thru model w/ the 39" scale length, tuned one octave below standard
- a Wal MkI
- a Pedulla Buzz
- an early 1960s Fender Precision Bass in absolute pristine (playability-wise; I don't care if it's got some "patina" or wear&tear) condition...sunburst, tort, rosewood fingerboard, old flatwounds

Decisions, right? Hope things are better, now, mi amigo! I think the former bassist from Krokus is still selling his... red, I believe, and just as awesome, although I'm a sucker for white...

For me. A Ric 5er. I have never even seen one in person. I think, nay, know that i would be able to use that Rico-sound for some killer death metal bass. Think Canibal, with a real chainsaw (exhaust port at ear level). Aaa, good times.

The only bass I'm gassing for would be a custom build 4-string 32 inch scale Alembic Rogue... cocobolo top and back, 3 piece maple neck with wenge tone wood, ebony fretboard with oval abalone fret markers, red led lights, and, of course, MYX pickups....not that I've thought about it much!

1) Fodera, 2) Sadowsky NYC. ... I've had the chance to buy both but, felt they would have spent more time at home, sitting alone than at work. ... I feel very fortunate to have the basses I've amassed. ... You can't have them all.

Portamento (SRF705) if you want the piezo or the SRH505F if you are interested in something with an f-hole. Played both recently and I may pick one up in the spring (leaning towards the Portamento).

Mike Watt Reverend Bass (satin yellow but c'mon, I'm not gonna turn down even a pink one if someone gifts me one!), non-reverse Gibson Thunderbird II, '69 Fender Mustang in "Competition Red" complete with the cool racing stripes and precision rest!
