Once you go IPA you never go back. I never thought I'd want the bitterness but now I can't get enough hops in my beer.

After having a few well balanced IPAs Ive become more favorable of them, but I definitely go back. I still prefer a good Porter, Stout, or Belgian Ale.

I've been on an IPA kick lately. I spent $13.49 on a 6 pack of Stones IPA...quite pricey...but after tasting it, I'd do it again. Loved it. My go-to IPA lately has been Southern Tier IPA.

The lighter IPAs like Ranger and Red Hook's Long Hammer are great. Lots of flavor, reasonable cost, and your non hop head friends will enjoy them too.

When price permits, my favorite is Lagunitas.

A great 'summer'(lighter) IPA is the Founders All-Day IPA. Plenty of hops but designed as a session beer. Check it out if you can find it! The Whole Foods right around the corner from me has it on draft right now.

New Belgium seems to be having lots of sales in my area. They've had 2 sales of $5.99 6ers, which happened to include Rampant. Kinda surprising for such a high hop and high ABV beer.

Agreed that Ranger and Long Hammer are excellent summer IPAs. Empyrian and Thunder Head are local breweries with good light-ish IPAs.

I'm going to try the Boréale IPA soon, it's apparently one of the best price-taste ratio over here. (About 8$ a sixer I think.)

Just grabbed a sixer at the grocery. It could be hoppier but as a light summer drink it's pretty much spot on.

Still working through my cases of Torpedo; thinking about investing in a growler since there are so many places around town to fill them.

Firestone pale 31 rules in the lighter IPA division IMHO.

Deviant Dale's IPA from Oskar Blues. If you guys can find this and love strong IPAs, definitely check it out. About $15 per four pack of 16oz cans. Don't really need more than that though. Amazing beer.

Yeah, thats a good one.
I played at an art gallery opening once and they had fresh kegs of Pale 31 and Double Barrel as refreshments.
Twas my first taste of Firestone, and I dug it.

I had some of that last night as well. On tap. The difference between bottled and tapped is huge. Much better on tap imo.

The brown, I'm not a big fan of the bottled version, as a matter facts I have 4-5 that have been sleeping in my fridge for some time now. But on tap, wow.
