Tort's the only way to go on a sunburst Jazz!

rosewood - tort
maple - white

both of the above are win.

however, anyone who has a pearloid guard on their instrument should be imprisoned for crimes against humanity.

AWWWW!
Why the "Mother of Toilet-seat" Hate?

You gotta be a "real man"-----(or a girl)
TO PULL THAT ONE OFF!

Well, of course what YOU like is always the best choice...

But, IMHO, there are only 2 choices - tortoise for the classic look and black for a more modern look.

While I don't think the fretboard matters THAT much, I do think the absolute classic look is the tortoise/rosewood board. And black just sort of "pops" more with the maple.

Gotta go with your heart on this one and forget what we all think!

Either way, you're playing a great bass!!!

Paul

Black on 3TS and tort on black are my standard preferences.

I've got gold anodised on my 70s 3TS PBass. I like it.

While I respect everyone's right to be different and I actively value diversity in all its forms, anyone with a white guard on any 3TS fender should be extraordinarily renditioned.
