Should I get the 'Skull' inlay ? Not really metal looking though, the skull inlay on the Frank Bello Squier was a real good looker. ANyway, wish this bass came with a black fret board.

Maybe get the skull & crossbones inlays like Kirk Hammet's ESP.

Kirk's skull and cross bones ! I did not know they were into the pirate thing like Running Wild's Jolly Rodger themes.

I just looked again at the Dark Lord, Black. Might have to price that, hope it is nowhere near the cost of a Vampyre.

Back to topic, Yeah black I think. So then I will have three shades of black, sand blasted, matt and gloss.

i once saw a see-through acrylic hollow body filled with blood. i think it was someone who played with rob zombie. that pretty f'n metal. find some pigs blood and smear it on a freshly sanded body.

It's a sandblasted finish so the selections are from 'Sandblasted Oil Finish Ash'

I know black gives a deeper growl but I'm will to sacrifice it and dial up the difference with the eq.

So far I'm thinking Turquoise Blue or French Violet, I wonder what they'll look like under gig/uv black lights ?
