Same with Australians unless you’re indigenous. If you go back far enough we’re a lot more related than you’d first think. We’re just a big pot of genetic soup - no such thing as a pure race but let’s not go there. Brotherhood of man and all that you know - citizens of the Earth. That’s gonna get more and more relevant as time goes by.

Even if you believe in the Peking Man theory or anything similar the whole of humanity evolved from Australopithecus aferensis.
 
Maybe I should be posting this over in the What I Learned Today thread...

If anything, reading the responses in this thread -- and then checking some reference sources to clarify things before I do something stupid like write "What a crock of poop, where did you go to school?!?!" -- has taught me that the word "continent" refers exclusively to a geologic feature irrespective of political boundaries. Which is almost completely opposite from the way I learned it back in grade school 50-something years ago.
