My GK head I mean
Humor aside,
I purchased a new 700 RB II a few weeks ago, and I love it.
No problems at all until I forgot it was on, and I unplugged the cable from my bass when I went to move it. Ugly to say the least. I know better, but stuff happens
Still sounds fantastic, but when not playing, I'm now hearing intermittent noise, somtimes a sizzle, sometimes popping. Not loud, but it's there. Also, when it powers up, I hear a slight thud when the light goes from red to blue. Same when I turn it off.. a slight pop or thud.
It does it no matter what settings the controls are, and also when the tuner mute is engaged. Even when no guitar cable is connected when turned on, it does it.
So, my question is, what did I fry when I accidently pulled the cable out of the guitar ?
Again, there is no evidence of a problem performance wise. It still sounds great. I have no regrets. I'm hitting a 212 neo 4 ohm cab rated at 500 watts with the 700 RB, and haven't even pushed it hard enough for the fan to kick on yet.
I assume it's not the cab woofers or tweeter. I can easily check by running a line to a powered speaker if anyone advises to do so.
