What did I just do

Cool story OP, and funny too. You remind me of me.

I have seen these Starfire creations many times on eBay, they come up with some amazing ideas. Please let us know how it plays, if you're able to work with it and make it playable. I can think of certain gigs where I wish I could have jumped to a fretless on the fly.

On my daily cruise around the ebay and craigslist areas I run across just about everything you can imagine.. OMFG.. I shot a guy a stupid low price on a double neck 5'er Fretted on top Fretless on bottom..
BAM!! He okayed the price sent me a invoice and it is now on it's way.. What the hell am I going to do with a double neck bass??? Sometimes I have to laugh at myself for being such a dumb ass.. Really.. I am always throwing out crazy pricing and low ball offers on different kinds of things. I mean, I don't offer $200 for a MIA Fender or $400 for a Ric, but some made in China double neck, I just sent an offer for the fun of it, then I watch the auction to see what it eventually goes for.. Oh man.. Nuts indeed

I'm sorry I'm laughing, but this story is hilarious. I've done this before, only to be turned down. Then I say to myself, "Man, I dodged a bullet." If you got it for a steal, go to your local music store and trade it for something you really like. Or just keep it. If you play much live, it would be cool for show.

Ha ha - nice work.

I did similar recently. Placed offers on three bases (not expecting them to come in) - 2/3 came in, and I was on 3/3 until the last 3 seconds.

Nothing says PAWN SHOP like a fretted/fretless double neck 5 string bass. There are music stores that would buy that just to put it in the store front window

I've done that many times, I'll see a Bass body or neck on eBay and bid $10 on it and then I'll see the $25 shipping and think, "poopie why did I do that this body won't even fit the neck I have laying around." But luckily someone aways ends up outbidding me
