What did I just do

Thanks everyone. I found the whole story and my actions very funny.. Sometimes I don't even know. I once shot a Make Offer bid, won it, paid for it, then went back to check on my spoils and then realized it was a guitar and not a bass!! HA.. That sucked. I have really got to read better or at least think this stuff through. Yep. It is a cool kind of thing that will sit next to my 10 string that I have really never played, but it is kind of cool looking!

My 10 string is pretty well built. However, the string through the body did not have ferruls!! It just went into the wood.. I had a aluminum plate made to put the strings through so they would not just dig into the wood of the body. Much safer now and in the 10 years I have had it, I have never broken a string..

Ahh, I have a rather junky 6er like that, I shouldn't have bought. Claimed to be "semi-hollow", well, not really..

This is the same way I one a guitar/ bass double neck on eBay a few years ago. It showed up for $500 BIN or Make Offer. I made a silly low offer at $250, which included shipping, and actually won. Kept it for years, it was definitely made by a semi-amateur luthier. Did some mods and fixed some things about it, and eventually traded it in the classifieds here.

Really.. I am always throwing out crazy pricing and low ball offers on different kinds of things. I mean, I don't offer $200 for a MIA Fender or $400 for a Ric, but some made in China double neck, I just sent an offer for the fun of it, then I watch the auction to see what it eventually goes for.. Oh man.. Nuts indeed

I am looking forward to getting it and giving it a whirl. I have plenty of useless basses hanging around. This will be my first double neck. Years ago, I had the chance to play a 11/12 String Conklin that someone here on TB owns. That was sick. This one here that I have coming is just enough to tickle the crazies!!
