I think he got his start running bootleg buttermilk ranch back in the old days. The feds were imposing a heavy tax on salad dressing, and it opened up a large black market in salad dressing. "Slippery Luke", as he was nicknamed, was one of the best ranch runners on the backroads.

I tried to learn to sing this while playing DB. Great pocket.... I just can’t do both justice.

I’ve found slowing the mp3 down to 25% of original tempo really helps to highlights these subtleties. Don’t overanalyse it.... let it get into your soul.

Also make sure the faucet shut-off valves (for the washer and all the sinks) can be turned and actually shut off the water. And test you main shut off valve for your home. Replace it with a ball valve if you haven't done this already.

For the water meter main valve, make sure you're able to turn that as well. Sometimes they're pretty stiff and you need a large screw driver to put in the openings of the valve and firmly turn it. Check with your water co. if you have problems with this.

Today I was visiting my daughter at her house and the washer cold water hose burst and started flooding the house and wood floors. At first I thought it was the washer itself.

When I realized it was one of the hoses I pulled the washer out as far as I could and I tried turning the valves but could not unstick them (all the while being bathed in a cold water shower spewing from the hose). Fortunately it was the cold water. :thumbsup:

My son-in-law was asleep so I shouted as loud as I could several times to get him to help out. He ran out and turned off the water at the meter (no master shut-off valve).

We got every towel/bedspread in the house plus a wet/dry shop vac(removed paper filter) going right away. A couple of small fans are working right now. I'm going to get my high speed fans right now. Hopefully the wood floors don't buckle. Not that hopeful. We'll see.

My SIL left to pickup a couple of replacement hoses and replace the shut off valves with ball valves.

Edit: Or get the hoses that do the auto shutoff thing.

Good news, no buckling in the wood floor yet. We'll see overnight.:thumbsup:

Can't like this soggy post (water leaks suck), but that is good advice. :cool:

My German friends take great offence when someone casually uses the term nazi (eg. grammar-nazi). No offence is meant but great offence is taken (opens the wound of their deepest shame). Lesson learnt.

The world is a complex place.
