I got a chance to get a bass i’ve had for a while working. It’s an import with split shaft corse splined pots. I wanted to replace all three so i took out the tone pot and measured it, then ordered three just like it. They got here and wouldn’t you know, the hole for the tone pot was way too big. Seemed odd even more so when i checked again and the old and new pots were dimensionally identical. I pulled the other two pots and the holes for them were also sloppy, but not as bad. I dug out some CTS 3/8 pots and opened the two volume pot holes so the CTS pots would work.
What I learned was the stock guard had three holes for pots and all three were a different size and all were too big for the pots used, and now i’ve got the stock pointers and witch hats to go with three Alpha 500K mini pots and nothing to use them on. I also learned i had enough knobs to cover the solid shaft CTS. A Fender J knob, an aftermarket Celtic knot knob. And a skull knob. I slapped them on thinking i’d just get a set but who knows. :D

I should not skip the muscle relaxer before bed. I've woken up for the past few days with 2 locked up legs. Ouch!
Tried potassium, magnesium? Get some lab levels to see if you're low.

DIY old-timey remedy: put a new bar of soap under the sheet near your legs. Maybe one on each side of the bed. Some reports of it helping leg cramps.

Eat a banana every day.

I learned that the shellfish allergy that I've developed over the last few years and so far only ever made me itchy, now causes catastrophic diarrhea.
And a good time was had by all.
My wife can't eat shellfish so I rarely eat it. A friend of mine developed an allergy to shrimp when he was in his fifties. His doctor warned him that he would probably die if he ate it again. Be careful.
