Hmm. Just waking up on a lazy Saturday with my wife.It sunny and around 63 degrees outside. Just flashed on last part of chorus of “You can’t always get what you want”.....Goes like this ..”But if you try sometimes, well, you might find, You get what you need“
I did find it.

Just rediscovered how lucky I am. :smug:

Was all set up for some good ol' learning today … Got distracted :wacky:

Many of us hate to be distracted, but then again, in the digital age the main way to get someone’s attention is to distract them away from some other focus.

So how do we embrace the benefits of a world run on the power of attention/distraction without sending ourselves crazy or constantly diminishing our ability to get jobs done?

In recent years, British author and human rights barrister Philippe Sands formed an unlikely friendship with an old gentleman named Horst Wachter.

Horst is the son of a Nazi war criminal, and he's still living in a tumbledown old castle near Vienna.

During WWII his father Otto was made governor of the city of Lviv, and he was responsible for the deaths of many thousands of people, including more than 80 of Philippe’s relatives.

After the war, Otto Von Wachter disappeared without a trace.

Then a few years ago, Horst gave Philippe access to a vast trove of family documents that directed him to the story of the infamous Ratline …
