What did you learn today?

I learned that I remember how to change a tire, dang it (it's been years!), and my scissor jack is MIA. Discovered my right front car tire sitting on the rim as I was intending to leave for work. Had to pull the john boat out of my truck's bed and fire it up so I could get myself to work...:rollno:

I use a scissor jack for my tires. Tbh I can't wait to have the space for a better one. I mean it works just fine, it just takes a while.

Also - today I learned that the supercycle (Canadian Tire store brand) bike chains are just a kmc z series chain. They're not even rebranded, they've got KMC and z series on every link, they're just in a supercycle box.

This about the movie "Elf":

Fun fact: Producers wanted to feature the famous Macy's 34th street location, the largest store in the world, but Macy's refused to have their name used. So they settled on Gimbels, a now defunct NY department store – the exterior was shot at 5th Avenue and E 30th St and decorated with CGI.

That I can drive one of these modern forklifts that use a suicide knob and a joystick. It took a few hours of panic, confusion and just plain lunacy. But eventually I became semi ok with it. Not having a center line reference that a steering wheel provides is kinda a big deal. For an old fart like me, it seems :D
