I learned that I remember how to change a tire, dang it (it's been years!), and my scissor jack is MIA. Discovered my right front car tire sitting on the rim as I was intending to leave for work. Had to pull the john boat out of my truck's bed and fire it up so I could get myself to work...

Hmm... seeing into the infrared spectrum would be a bit disorienting...

That would have been quite handy years ago for my photography so long as I could cut off the visible spectrum at the same time.

I learned that this set of Fender '62 pickups I've had for maybe 20 years and was anxiously waiting until I had time to install in my new Warmoth medium scale P-Bass has different outputs for each coil. The D and G are very weak. Rats. The Dimarzio DP122's are back in. I need some Fralins or something. Maybe another set of Geezers.

I use a scissor jack for my tires. Tbh I can't wait to have the space for a better one. I mean it works just fine, it just takes a while.

Also - today I learned that the supercycle (Canadian Tire store brand) bike chains are just a kmc z series chain. They're not even rebranded, they've got KMC and z series on every link, they're just in a supercycle box.

That I can drive one of these modern forklifts that use a suicide knob and a joystick. It took a few hours of panic, confusion and just plain lunacy. But eventually I became semi ok with it. Not having a center line reference that a steering wheel provides is kinda a big deal. For an old fart like me, it seems
