I've learned that, because my hip has been hurting for several days now and I'm worried I have hip cancer, if that's even a thing, I'm highly susceptible to believe the worst in a situation.
Maybe it's the aftermarket insoles in your shoes ( if you own such items)...
I bought a pair of cushiony insoles for my everyday walkshoes one time.........then I was downtown for about 2 hours..at which point I could hardly walk due to pain in my hips....
I bought some insoles because of plantar fasciitis. You might be right, but is this my only choice? Achy hip vs. achy feet? Death by a thousand cuts!
I learned that if I am driving on a crowded freeway, it may be inconvenient, but the odds of any notable difficulties are slim, whereas, if I am driving on an empty freeway at night with just ONE other car for miles and miles around, that particular dimwit is absolutely going to cause some kind of difficulty.
Squishy insoles are bad; you want an insole that strongly supports your foot in its natural shape and proper alignment, not something that allows it to deform and move around. The best insoles are stiff.
Today I found a bass demo, of a bass very similar to one in my possession, that had eluded me completely until now. The means of receiving these basses is fraught with possibilities - not all of them desirable - because they come untried from a foreign realm. Still, I've had a lot of luck, as it turns out.
This one, with a burl maple tiger stripe top, curly maple one piece neck with a rosewood board, almost mint, with not a mark on it - just missing the truss-rod cover which doesn't worry me in the slightest - wasn't set up at all when it arrived so I relegated it. Didn't give it another thought.
Recently I've been tinkering a little and have easily got some excellent results. Still has some dodgy strings on it and it needs more tweaking but it's raging now and will improve from here without doubt.
They say, if you sit long enough by the river, you will eventually see all your enemies drifting by. I've been sitting by the river with this machine for more than a few years now. What I once thought was a lemon, my mistake, turns out to be a going concern - and a golden opportunity to learn how to set up a bass (I've never successfully tampered with anything before).
What drifted downstream today, spurring me on, was this demo of an almost identical but cheaper version of my burly Bacchus Bob 1100 BM. This is the only tangible evidence I have for this model's existence, beyond one retail link and the bass itself. They must be pretty rare. Still know very little else about them but I'm happy now. I do know they were made in China and they weren't cheap. I paid very little for mine. Check this out

Tech and migration, huh? That throws a spanner in the works. Well, at least a tool of some kind
I learnt that, while we were testing a new telescope recently, we stumbled upon a collision between three galaxies, 1.8 billion light years from the blue dot, where a supermassive black hole is propelling gas - in this case, named a megamaser - through space at speeds approaching 600 km per second. This particular supermassive black hole happens to have a mass that's three billion times that of our sun.
