There are different basses for different styles of music, occasions, etc. If you're a gigging musician, you have to decide which basses to bring with you for an audition, particular gig, etc.

Think "flock" of birds, "quiver" of arrows.

Plus one for "herd" Makes 'em sound like thudering wild animals. On the flip side, thinning/culling are done to herds. Not a fan of anyone else thinning or culling my herd.
