What do you do besides playing music?

I love NY! I’m from Plattsburgh, and my parents live in the Saratoga Springs area. The Mrs. and I try to get out that way every other year. Beautiful.
I’m a photo hobbyist..I try to get out at least once a month with my camera gear... (G.A.S. happens there as well)
I also enjoy going to the race track to watch horse racing. Not a big gambler but I really enjoy this sport. We live near Belmont Park and Saratoga is a great weekend get away.
And I walk..for miles around NYC..whenever I can..always with a small camera.

DS9 is ok... I'm a TNG man myself, but I like all of em.

I liked The Next Generation. My dad used to watch it when I was a kid and I always wanted to watch the whole series one day. Thanks to Amazon Video Prime, I did just that as well as watching TOS.

I didn't expect to like DS9 very much because I didn't like the idea of it taking place on a space station. However I am enjoying it. It feels less episodic than TNG and TOS. I heard there are more bigger story arcs later in the series. I'm only in the middle of season 2 right now.

DS9 got better for me as it goes on... first season was a little meh, but later seasons got pretty good...

Love this thread.

I was a sailmaker/custom boat canvas guy for 15 years. Moved to automotive soft goods manufacturing doing primarily pattern design and logo development for OEMs like Porsche, Ford, Suzuki and several big box retail stores. Did that for 25 years. Retired four years ago.

Now I hang out with the wife, go to bed when I want, wake up when I want and do stuff around the house on my own schedule.

My hobby is bass playing. Gave up trying to make any real money at it years ago. That was never a big deal anyway, I always played for the enjoyment.

I think they have it wrong... the line that goes with the photo is:
“What did you expect? Welcome, sonny? Make yourself at home? Marry my daughter? You've got to remember that these are just simple farmers. These are people of the land. The common clay of the new West. You know . . . morons”

Yeah, that's the dialog for that scene. I couldn't find an image from the actual "Let's play chess" line so I grabbed that one because of Cleavon Little's expression and added the text. Glad to know others out there know the movie as well as I do.
