What do you hate more, Rickenbackers or Squiers?

I've never owned or tried a squier that was even comparable to my fender so I don't understand the whole I love squier thing but if you do It does not effect me in the slightest but when I say such things I'm attacked with demands to assimilate to the squier rocks side.
Enjoy them if you must and leave me to mine.

Why would you make a thread on this? You're having a cry that someone made a thread with legitimate explanations about why he no longer likes a bass. It's not like he even said anything unreasonable or hated on them, all was said was that for the price you pay you would expect better QC. Time to grow up.

When I started playing guitar on the 80s everyone knew that squier was created to be a cheap alternative to fender...they were made cheaper with cheaper parts.
Cheaper wood electronics... What have you it fit and finish.
Fender gave the contract to fugi gen at a certain point and they made them too well.
Fender pulled their contract and gave it to a korean company because they were meant to be inferior..not equal or better.both in price and quality.they did not want a squier to be made as well as a US fender.then they sent the contract to China cause they were still made too well.
So all you people who swear by Chinese made squiers are swearing that a quality that was intended to be Low by design is better......ok

I know it's not ...you know it's not and that's OK.

Rickenbackers are crazy expensive and sometimes have cosmetic imperfections. Squiers are dirt cheap and often better than Fenders. Both valid reason for hate, doncha think.

So what's it gonna be?

The great thing about having four basses is I can hate each one for its own special reason.

I hate the import Sterling SB14 because it isn't made in the US and only EBMM basses are worth buying.

I hate the Ripper because after 40 years it needs a refret.

I hate the SX P because it's the cheapest of all knockoff P basses and doesn't say Fender. And then there's that funky headstock.

I hate the Wishbass because... well because what's not to hate about a Wishbass?
