My wife and I were there for the last stop on a 7-day Alaskan cruise. The bigger pubs on the main drag downtown were packed to the walls, but we found Garrick's Head Pub (seemed a little more like a locals' place) down a side street and had a great time.

Awesome! I've been trying to get in on one of those Alaskan cruises for quite some time now...

We tend to look for stuff off the typical tourist path. If I'm going to visit a new city, I'm more interested in getting a more authentic flavor of the place rather than one that's been pre-packaged and sanitized.

Oh yeah! I already know you like to vacation the way I do!

Im heading out via bus to El Paso in a couple of days. My former drummer is from there so we get to kick it like locals!

And yes, the Trace brings it. I have boutique amps, but that thing is a work horse.
