What do you sit on to practice?

Mostly the edge of my bed with my right foot on the bedrail.

If I use a folding chair I will use a guitar foot rest.

If I use a guitar bar stool it has to have a cross member where I can rest my right foot so my right knee is at the height I am used to.
.

Same here.
Going to sit in for a few tunes and sitting, the folding classical guitar foot rest.
At home in a regular old office chair, it's a chunk of a structural header.
And playing out, an OnStage Throne, fully extended so my right leg is in the proper position.

I use your typical, armless, office chair, that gives good lumbar support, with casters. Lots to choose from on Amazon.

I suppose I practice standing up,

but most of the time, especially learning material, I'm in my mancave/music room in the same office chair with arms that I sit in to read or watch videos, post here, or whatever, which is what I do as I'm learning/practicing, back and forth.

I don't find the arms to be a problem. My bass is always strapped around my neck and hanging in the same position it's in when standing, and the arms aren't an issue. :)

So glad I'm not the only or 1st to say my chair has arms. I guess I scooch foreword a bit, and use the strap.

I sat on a lot of chairs before finding this one (fortunately it wasn't the most expensive one there),

it fits me so perfectly I don't feel the chair (I'll NEVER buy an office/mancave chair on-line again).

I think having to sit on something else would cause me to practice even less than I do now. :D

I bought the Quik Lok Musicians Seat (Dx749) a couple years ago and have found it very good although it takes a bit of getting used to at first. Lots of backrest and footrest height adjustment plus a soft comfy seat too. A bit expensive but I like to be comfortable when I practise.
