What do you wish existed?

I wish they had made 5-string basses from the 60s and onwards so you could get a vintage 5-string bass. I also wish that all basses were available as a 5-string edition so you wouldn’t have such a limited field to choose from if you, like me, play 5-stringers exclusivey

I just want someone to put a tuner in the freaking amp. Basically every amp on the market has extra knobs/buttons/functions that no one uses but the only amp I have with a built in tuner is a desktop guitar amp

TC Electronics my friend. Both my BG-250 combo amp and my RH450 both have tuners built in to them. The 450 is chromatic and the 250 is only the main notes (no sharps/flats).

Although these things exist, I would like them to be standard.

1) All basses with active electronics should have easy-access battery compartments, so that if you need to change a battery in a hurry, you don't have to muss and fuss with screwdrivers.

1a) Even better would be rechargeable battery packs that I can plug in, like Fishman has optional for their Fluence stuff. Eliminate the need to constantly spend money on 9v batteries.

1b) The Fluence battery pack has a low battery indicator. Why can't all active basses have a low battery indicator?
A passive-active switch always worked for me.
