What does success look like for you?

I have been through a lot of different phases here is a few things I have thought of as success,

Finish school,
Have a girlfriend,
Make it through the night ( no more details on that one)
Be in a band
Get a good job so I could support my family
Encourage my son to finish school
Spend more time with my family
etc, etc

Right now at 60 years-old sucess looks like this to me,
Enjoy life (and I do) Love people, Be mindful of the amazing world I live in with all the crazy people I love to be with. Enjoy every moment with my wife and my family. Being a grandfather :hyper: Not necesarrily in that order.

What does success look like to you?

"She knows there’s no success like failure
And that failure’s no success at all "

Bob Dylan

to be able to sit down in the evening, and be happy.

I have been up and down in my life. I have known what it felt like to pay cash for his and hers V12 jaguars (hers was a red XJS, mine was black). I know what it feels like to drive a porsche to work. it is great to have a big home in the mountains, and have your own custom motorcycle shop...
I also know what it is like to see illness eat my wife from the inside out, and hold my young daughter, at my wife's funeral.

There are a couple friends I want to do something with. People I have not been on stage with, but should have. I think I want a smaller house, but one with a small "bar" built onto it. I don't really want the alcohol, more the atmosphere for my friends and I to play in. I think I want to go back to school. I am tired of building bikes and hot rods.

Cheers, great post. Very sorry about your wife; I can't imagine.

This quote I found online seems to be fairly accurate....

At age 4 success is not peeing in your pants.
At age 12 success is having friends.
At age 16 success is having a drivers license.
At age 20 success is having sex.
At age 35 success is having money.
At age 50 success is having money.
At age 60 success is having sex.
At age 70 success is having a drivers license.
At age 75 success is having friends.
At age 80 success is not peeing in your pants

The best answer I can come up with, when phrased that way, is "a smile on ones face".
