What does success look like for you?

I was thiking on the title of this thread... what does success look like...

The best answer I can come up with, when phrased that way, is

Success, for me, would be to not have to work all the dang time so I could live my life. It would be really nice to invent something useful and be able to live off the royalties for the rest of my life or something like that.

So far, I'm unsuccessful.

There is a sign in our practice studio that says "Quit work, play music" I would love to do that.

OK, I will admit it. The pic was a joke. The whole thing was a setup, and the woman was fully dressed.
I used to like the old joke "What do you call a musician, who never gets any?.... A bassist!"
This pic was to remind me what I never get to see

Success in the eyes of who?

Happyiess is a better mark for personal success, though it may not be in the eyes of society.

Getting into (and finishing) my degree was a big one for me, a loving girl, good friends and questionable music are constant reminders of success on a personal level.

From the outside it's probably the academic stuff that stands out.

I don't think I'm successful by any standard I've encountered so far. *I'm* really more of a work in progress at the moment I guess.

I'm not unhappy but at the same time there's still things missing to be really happy.

Let's call it transitioning :P
