What does your bass say about you?

My old '78 fretless P: "You suck. You only paid $250 for me and then sold me so now.. you just suck."

My old '74 Tele bass: "You suck worse. I was almost mint and you got me at a garage sale for $75. Now that there are such things as CL and ebay you'll never see the likes of me again, traitor." (yeah, sold it too.)

My Warwick: "You better not sell me."

My VM TB: "Compensating for something?"

Yeah, but this is Talkbass. Everyone here owns at least one!

I've never even touched a P bass.

I find the concept of my bass talking about me when Im not in the room a bit disconcerting. Quite frankly I dont know if I want to know what it says about me, it might hurt my feelings and then I would have bad thoughts about threatening it with a chainsaw. I shudder to think at the whole sordid affair, maybe best not to know.

Well my Ric 4001 says "Why are you even thinking about playing anything else?"

My Dean Edge Pro says "I'm better, faster, and more sexy than her (the Ric)."

………….Ric 4001's response cannot be printed…………..

My Ibanez SR-505 says "What exactly do you see in 4-bangers anyway?"

My Squier P-bass says "Why in the name of Roscoe are you looking at a Dingwall?"

That's just today.

Someone should start a thread with a list of racial stereotypes, each one with its own insulting "distinguishing characteristic" listed next it. It could be titled "what your race says about you", with a line at the bottom of the original post: "this is a joke, and thus not meant to be taken seriously".

You could paste in a small picture of a bass guitar to make it relevant to this forum, and put it in the "Miscellaneous" section. It would match this thread in both pointlessness and likelihood to offend. Or you could close this one before someone complains, as they always do here.

You could add to the list: Hello Kitty Bass: "because I'm uncomfortable with my (homo)sexuality."
