I have a very similar setup Mesa Sunway D800+ into my Greenboy Fearless 112 (one or two). Do you feel that this setup can sound dark? I sometimes have issues with upper register clarity and end up getting aggressive with the EQ for more pop-oriented songs.

I have no experience with the ( + ) but from my understanding, the D800 is a bit darker that the + ... I have no problem getting all the highs I need ... seems with the added eq options you have, you wouldn't have any issues obtaining even more highs than I'm able to... even with just the BRIGHT switch. Post your question on the Mesa thread... plenty of 800+ users there that can steer you in the right direction :)

Since I only practice now - never actually playing with anyone yet - I just have one setup: Acoustic B100 combo, Alesis SR-16 drum machine through a Behringer K450FX keyboard amplifier and my little Ibanez short scale acoustic (PNB14E). It mostly stays in my detached garage 2nd floor finished room (with AC of course).

10 years ago when the ex moved out, she took all the furniture. At first I thought I'd replace it.....what for? Only need one chair, right? To the left is my surround sound to play along with. This is one end of a 20x24 living room. Works for me.

Awesome.

Now make our day - tell us she moved into the place below. :smug:

Most of the time, something like this:

Other times, it’s usually something like this.

I would be interested to see how you all practice at home. I use my Vox bass headphone amp with my trusty iPod Classic and AT headphones. What does your setup look like?View attachment 3475331
All I need to practice is my laptop and internet connection so I can access YouTube, plus my Fender Bassman 15w equipped with a Celestion speaker (center of photo). It has a wonderful tone that I find impossible to recreate with my larger gig amps. And of course I require an ample supply of basses to keep me amused.

My home practise set up currently consists of 2 Barefaced One10's, a Thunderfunk TFB750 and my Lull PJ5, but it could be any gear that isn't being gigged at the moment.

I'm looking to go totally silent at home, so I'm also interested in people's experiences with headphone amps.
