What dog do you own?

Thanks! She was originally named that because she's registered as a Jack Russell. "Jack and Jill went up the hill..." I still don't know, though. Her ears seem more like a Rat Terrier. Maybe she's what they call a "Jack Rat".
I currently have four and a half dogs at my house...well maybe four and a quarter.
The oldest is Jazzy. She's a maybe beagle/sheltie, maybe jack russell/corgi mutt of some kind. She's smart and very clearly MY dog.
Then is Pixie, the fractional dog mentioned above. She's a long haired chihuahua. She's obviously my wife's dog. She's lived in the house I pay for for five or six years and still does the 'Intruder!" bark every time I get home.
Jaco is next. He's a full blooded Jack Russell terrier, but he doesn't look like one. He's considerably larger than is typical for that breed. He's probably about 50-55 lbs. He's Joni's dog.
Joni is the biggest of our dog's. She's a Lab-Pit-Boxer mix. She's about 90-95 lbs. She's very sweet, but LOOKS intimidating.
Bonnie isn't actually our dog. But she's living at our house. She is a retired show Beagle. She belongs to friend who lost their house and ended up somewhere they couldn't have beagles.
We also have 3 cats and a fish.

Two of my close friends have this exact same problem. One is a Dachshund that my best friend's wife has had before they met. The other friend's wife took in a stray 5-pound mini something and it absolutely hates my friend to this day.
I can't help but laugh when I read that part out loud about the intruder. Haha

We've always had a mixture of both. It was 4 and 4 for a long time. This last year saw the passing of a beloved one of each, and the saving/aquisition of 2 kittens, so we're now at 3 dogs and 5 cats.
That's so cool that you named your dog Buddy Guy! Dig it!

Will - we were also at 4 and 4 but lost our oldest dog last month. So now we're 3 dogs and 4 cats.

Aside from the 2 new kittens, all of ours are up there in years. Basically got a house full of senior citizens with a couple young ones mixed in.
We have a rescued lab, Cheerio. She was a breeder at a puppy mill before rescued.
She remeinded me in some ways of my mother: mistreated by life; old; alone; just wanting someone to love. How could we say no.
Cheerio is getting on in years and has the hip dysplasia. So she mostly just lies around while I play and gets loved on by the kids. We tried bringing a blue healer pup into the mix, but Cheerio wasn't having it.
So we just have the one.

I could go on a diatribe here about how some people view and treat animals, but I'll spare you folks this time.
The only dog at my house is an orange cat. But we have two dogs at work, a couple of jack russells. They bark a lot, but they're the two nicest dogs you could meet. You can't scratch or pet one at a time, only both at the same time. One is the taller variety and one is the shorter. The taller one loves going down groundhog holes.

Im going to guess he's a larger hound breed by his general shape long legs and feet, and pit because of the powerful jowl muscles and feet. Te short tight coat is common to both. I know that's only 2 out of possibly four or more, but... I see a lot of hound/bulldog mixes in these parts. and I think he fits the bill, FWIW. Nice mutt !
