What dog do you own?

She's definitely a mixed breed!

Here's a shot from last night...

There are same great pictures in this thread !

Here are a couple of pictures of our hounds. The first one is several years old and, sadly, the big Ridgeback and the Dachshound are no longer with us. We still have the smaller Ridgeback and she weighs about a hundred pounds now. The big things on their collars is for the radio fence we had at the time. Now we live farther out in the country and we have a real fence. The second picture shows our two miniature wire-haired Dachshunds riding in the truck with me. They really enjoy their rides.

I forgot to mention their names. We name our dogs after musical things like songs, bands, or characters in songs. The dogs in the first picture are named Maxwell Silverhammer, Eleanore Rigby, and Rita the Meter Maid. The two wire-haired dachshunds are Jethro Tull and Mustang Sally.

I Love Big Mutts (and I can not lie)

Dasher and Joey. Both are rescues.

The lab mix Neener in my avatar passed away last year.

Beautiful family, man.

And I feel for you about Neener. My old black lab mutt mix here (named Buddy Guy) is the greatest creature I have ever seen when it comes to being with children. Couldn't ask for a more gentle, loving dog. And so, so smart and wanting nothing more in life than to please.

He also has lymphnode cancer at age 12. :(
