What effect do you run on all the time?

New to FX.

I have a sonic maximizer at the end of my “small” pedal chain that I leave on all the time. I started looking at envelope filters and like the Aguilar. I could get addicted to this pedal. It seemed to fatten the tone nicely but not too much when dialed in low.

is there an effect you leave on too much?

Darkglass B7K and Super Symmetry

Always on:
Compressor: red witch grace
BBE Sonic Maximizer
75% of the time overdrive: Timmy

Have always ran a version of compressor and bbe either rack forms or pedals for years and just can't seem to get rid of them. It's a bad habit, but it just doesn't sound like my bass without them.

I play in a church band through the house sound system which is a colorless hi-fi affair. My practice amp at home is similar, it is a 75 W keyboard amp so it is also very wide range. In both places I run an amp/cab modeler on my multi-effects pedal all the time. I neither know nor care how faithful to the originals the modeler is because it warms the sound up nicely in spite of whatever criticisms of its sound a purist might offer! Everything else I use as needed.

This... always!

MXR compressor on all the time and EBS microbass II drive channel with just a little bit of dirt and EQ on 99% of the time.
I used to have reverb also on all the time but it was sucking a lot of tone so now I only use it when needed, I will try and make a new preset for the reverb so that is usable always on again.
