What happened to Munji?

Sarcasm is a form of humor when people understand it, but if it's constantly used and people don't know it's sarcasm, it's douchebaggery.

When it's one in ten thousand that doesn't understand it, ya gotta go with user error ;)

And just a side note, I hated Jaco. I hated his tone, I hated his style, I hated everything about him. But I'm not gonna say he's not good, and I'm not gonna say I'm so much better.

To be fair, you did put your 6yo sister at a comparable level to him :D

If his supporting membership wasn't renewed, it would have disappeared.
I think it still says "gold supporting member" underneath his name in posts, or at least it did this morning when I looked for his profile. (EDIT: It does, and his last posting spree was on the 3rd :hmm:)

I kinda like the fact that Munji will be missed LOL. I doubt anything like that would happen with me :D Actually, I don't even think I have ever had any "supporting lapse" threads in lobby.

Munji's the most arrogant? I must be slipping.

In the meantime, I think if everyone stopped taking themselves so seriously, they might not be offended when someone disagrees with them. Then again, not everyone is as smart as I am and perhaps I'm giving you guys too much credit by even suggesting you attempt to process a thought that doesn't put you first.

Mike

awesome. i knew there was a reason we kept you around.

TB quote of the year!!!! :D

He's not arrogant at all- he has a very dry sarcasm that most everyone loves. If you're looking to point out arrogant members, just be on the lookout for the teenagers that have only been playing for around three years but still claim that they are very skilled in their user titles and at the age of 16 say that "anyone can come up with lines like Portrait of Tracy. It's just harmonics on the 3, 4, and 5th fret".....;)

I was going to say that this was an uncharacteristically massive burn from the usually reserved Bryan R. Tyler...

But then I see he has a point! I'm sure you can at least admire that he changed the face of bass itself? ;)

You make an interesting point about sarcasm though. I'm not sure if your user title ("very skilled amateur" is supposed to be sarcastic or if you're just very egotistical and succumbing to your own rampant "douchebaggery", as you call it!

So you see how things can be misread.

You disliked his elitism while I loved his sarcasm. Lots of different ways of looking at the same painting. :)

I hope everything is alright.

+1
Well put.

Let's face it. If you had a button he would push it. Some members here have buttons as big as a house with a strobe light on it, and if you couldn't tell his post was nothing more than the art of sarcasm you might want to re-evaluate your "internet feelings". This place is pretty tame compared to other forums I've seen. Actual insults are almost nonexistent.

I hope he's doing well and if he is on hiatus I will miss seeing his Munji posts.

Boy, I thought the same thing. That could be taken 2 totally different ways. Hope Munji is OK, he certainly had some entertaining posts.

Having read, and read between the lines of his posts for over 8 years, when I finally met Munji at the international GTG last August, he was what I thought he would be in real life: A gentleman, and quite intelligent at that.

And I truly mean that.

I hope he hasn't left TB, but if he has, I wish him the best.

Hope to see you back here, Mike.

Mike
