What happened to Trace?

... so I've only been around here for a few months, and I've read a lot about Trace Elliot "going down the tubes" or "losing it."

What exactly happened? I heard somebody say something about Gibson....

Gibson happened to Trace.

Trace went down for a while but they are back and doing fine. The are not the "flavor of the week" but they are making some good equipment.

Also, I never understood the whole gibson bashing trace thing, the only trace amps I like were released during the gibson period!
