Oh well, it is fun seeing what other people think about two of the most influential bassists of all time. IMO, Jaco, Jamerson, Larry Graham, and John Entwhitsle, are the most influential bassists because they repectively put, fretless, advanced harmony, slapping, and treble/roundwounds, on the map. Obliviously, I am leaving out dozens of players, including personal favorites like Marcus Miller, Bernard Edwards, Jeff Berlin, Stanley Clarke, and Chris Squire, but that is how I see it.
Where did the Jaco vs. Jamerson thread go? I thought it was a fun dumb argument thread!
