I can't begin to list the things I've learned from all you smart guy's and gal's here. Gear, technical, amps, theory. The responses to any question I've ever posted here have been excellent.

The best bass minds on the planet are on this forum.

1. Fenders suck, except when they don't.
2. People will devoutly bash/defend any brand they own/have owned.
3. GAS is an incurable addiction.
4. The guys in the Spector club are some of the best human beings I've ever had the privilege of meeting.

I've learned that bass players are generally a knowledgeable, funny, interesting, and generous bunch of folks. I've also learned about gear snobs.

I've learned a lot from the serious gear hounds hanging here. I think Tom Bowlus is their defacto King.

The latest learning experience from talking bass here has been the advent of the MVW technology from BigE and Mike Arnopol. If I wouldn't have been 'on board', I wouldn't be having more fun and sounding better than I ever have before.

I have learned that I am not alone in suffering from GASITIS INFECTICUS, the debilitating affliction known more commonly as GAS. I also suffer from BASS (Buy And Sell Stuff).

I have also learned that there is a plethora of really nice people out there who are bassists.

I have also learned about power ratings of bass cabs and how misleading those ratings are because they are based on the thermal rating rather than the mechanical rating.

Come to think of it, I have learned a lot in the five years I have been a supporting member. And for that, I thank all of you!
