Recently my Ibanez PD-7 died. So now I need a new overdrive/distortion pedal. I was thinking of purchasing a new one, but I thought I should try something new. Does anyone have any recommendations?

One of my favorites is for sell I believe on this forum. Dave Hall VT1-EQ-Bass.
Overdrive / distortion / EQ / DI / pre al in one pedal. Pretty amazing stuff! And it's got a real tube pre in it.

I'm hopefully getting a Danelectro Fab Tone soon. Funny GC story. I went in to get a tuner (bought a Korg Pitchblack in case anyone cares) and asked the effects guy if he had any bass ODs and he had a Fulltone Bassdrive. Cool... $150 and I've heard good things. I played it... Didn't love it. Funny thing was the effects guy went to help someone else and the bass guy said to buy a Danelectro Fab tone... He says awesome overdrive with bass and treble so it's not a bottom suck like a lot of bass ODs are. Anyway, that's it. Hopefully I'll have one soon and be able to relay my thoughts. The Fulltone was pretty sweet though... Just not $150 sweet.
