Others might have more speed and distortion but this is it.

it's funny that The dillinger escape plan gets mentioned so many times while they play in standard tuning (E)!

lightning bolt. there's screamier, and there's more abrasive, but for my money none's heavier.

bass/drum duo. plus, the bass player has a crazy setup. he uses a stingray (tuned CGDA i believe) with the bottom strings using bass strings, and the top string or two using guitar (or banjo, i forget) strings. and let's not forget the massive distortion etc.

this one really kicks in at 0:56 13 monsters

I just wanna say something: Electric wizard and bands alike will never be heavier than black sabbath, thay caan try though, down tunnig their guitars and distorting their vocals, but that will never be as heavy as Black Sabbath.
