Crapping on people's gear has always been against the rules here. "That bass is ugly" isn't really adding anything constructive to a discussion.

Sure. Now if only that rule is applied consistently across the board. Since then there have been dozens of examples of folks saying much worse than I did.
Maybe there is a little spill over from people (like me) that left social media and now spend more of their time here.
There are only 3 forums that I frequent (TB and a couple of car/Jeep ones). FB became all the rage for a while, which is why I think many forums fell by the wayside, but I've never been a fan of the way that FB collects massive amounts of data on users and non-users alike. I have a FB account, but mainly for Marketplace, since CL is all but dead anymore (though there is Reverb and GC).
TB is definately one of the more civil forums I've been a member of, and I've belonged to MANY forums over the years. Too many trolls and trouble makers on FB and a lot of other forums, but TB is one of the few that a medicore bass player like myself can ask a 'dumb' question and not get harrassed. We all gotta learn, right? And at 63yo, I have no illusions of becoming anything much more than medicore, but that's ok. I learn quite a bit just reading through threads here.
I'm having fun, learning a lot (both here and by all the practicing I do), enjoying playing in a 'band' with my other family members, and if luck has it, maybe at some point I can find a bunch of individuals like myself that I can jam together with. I'm sure the 'dumb' questions will continue from me, but thanks to all that have helped out on the way and not resorted to belittiling behavior.
I see they did away with the yearly gold membership and made it a monthly subscription like streaming services.
No it's still there. There is a yearly one as well as a one time fee.I see they did away with the yearly gold membership and made it a monthly subscription like streaming services.

If you're currently an Annual Gold Supporting Member, it won't show up on your page as an upgrade option. I am an Annual Supporting Member and the Annual Supporting option does not show up on my page.
