Perhaps not, but these are obviously intended for beginners. Directly from the product FAQ's. I don't see any lack of value for learning at all. I see a product that gives someone a visual of the notes. Nothing more.
Q. How long will they last?
A. Fretnotes are printed on a special polyester material with a non-glare matt finish, giving a neat appearance. This makes them ideal for teachers - they look professional and are long-lasting. They will normally out-last the need for them - most people find they only need to use them for a few weeks. Fretnotes are not re-usable.

Interesting. It seems pretty foreign to me, as even my beginner teachers were about learning to read and learning the fingerboard without any markings for guitar, EB, and DB. Of course it took a little time, but that's the way they did it. Evidently things have changed.
For me, I'd probably have taken longer to learn where the notes were with stickies. And I still wouldn't have dared to take them out on a gig or rehearsal. They'd have kicked me out of HS band.
This would have been amazingly helpful for me in jr high, transitioning to guitar/bass from piano.
The thought of showing up with those, on your bass, for an audition, makes me
laugh. I have seen those on EBay before, gotta gig tomorrow night, wonder what the band would think if I had those, laughing again, BUT SERIOUSLY, IT WOULD BE VERY HELPFUL TO MANY.
I doubt very much if anyone using such things will be anywhere near any kind of standard where they will need to audition. By the time they need to audition their need for fingerboard markers will be ancient history.

I don't think I'd be wanting to put that on my bass, but a tool to help learn the notes on the fretboard? Heck ya! Tabs are ok, I've picked up how they work. But I read music so learning the notes are a must. I put Bass Fretboard Addict on my tablet and use it while I'm watching TV at night to help get the notes down.

In education, this is called scaffolding. The end goal is to gradually remove the scaffolds so students can eventually complete the task independently.
At a time when fewer and fewer people are taking up the accordion of our generation... I don't get the animosity from some of the posters. Oh wait, I do. Same as always. I guess they're thinking if there are fewer bassists around, that's more gigs for them. But the kids learning aren't gonna be taking food from your mouth, despite the whining from a few old grizzled pros. Next week they'll be griping that these kids are playing for free and undercutting them.
