So many of the "progressive" songs I love. Supper's Ready, Entangled, Afterglow, Return of the Giant Hogweed, The Lamia....

But as a bass player I just love love love "No Reply" . What a fantastic bass line!

Despite being a huge Peter Gabriel fan and a huge fan of many other 1970's British prog-rock bands (Yes, King Crimson, Henry Cow, etc.) I have a hard time finding any Genesis songs that I actually like! They just never quite crossed the threshold required to sustain my interest.

However, the tunes of theirs I tolerate the most (j/k, I guess I can admit I like these) are "The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway" and "Turn It On Again"

I'm coming from the Phil Collins Genesis perspective. I probably should be more up on Peter Gabriel era Genesis, since I've heard such great things about that material, but I honestly can't name one song from that incarnation of the band. Maybe if you hum a few bars...

That said, and from that perspective...

Abacab.

Since I was a teenager, that song never gets old to me for some reason. I don't know why. And I'd find that weird, knowing me as I do, but I've just gotten used to it.
