What is your least played bass and why?
Mine is my 2006 Fender MIA 60th Anniversary P Bass. I love this bass and it sounds and plays excellent but for some reason a P Bass is just not what I gravitate to. I have bought and sold so many P's but as soon as I get rid of one, within a month or two I feel like I need one in my stable. I do grab it from time to time but I am least inspired by it I guess. Not sure why because like I said is sounds so good.

My Fender Bullet bass. PO's refinish project that looks decent but has major fret sprout.

Very disappointing.

Crackercaster 5 from about 5 years ago.
An insane frankenbass 51/56 slab P design with two 5 string SCPB hum canceling Nordstrand pickups. Good neck, good fingerboard. Strange wood choices. Cypress body, super soft. Ash neck. Variegated rosewood board. All Florida sourced. Sounds like a Redneck Meth Party™.
Should have more cojones than it does.
I like it, but I like most of my other basses better.

65-66 Vox Panther with EB 3 pickups.
Fat. muddy, lightning fast tiny 30 inch scale neck.
I've had it since the late 60s.
Keep it mostly because it was my 3rd and it brings back memories.

My olde Kramer Forum. It's actually a great bass but those necks don't feel good to my hand.

My Epiphone T-Bird Classic Pro only because of the way it hangs.

Felt guilty so I picked up the Crackercaster a few minutes ago. Anemic just through the amp. Sounded ballsy as eff when I kicked in TwoNotes LeBass.
So all it lacks is a preamp.
Maybe I'll start gigging her again.

Only one of the six I have, because the piezo bridge keeps going bad, but it should be resolved this week with an entirely new bridge.

My Bongo 5 HH. I *WANT* to like it, I really do! But I much preferred the tone of my old Bongo 5 HS, and it's something I only pick up if I want a very specific tone nowadays.

The Rail, made by Matsumoku and branded a Westone. Headless and bodiless by design, fretless by choice. It's the only fretless I've ever had, so it has always gotten the call for fretless parts, but I have never called upon it often.

Greco RB-700 Ric clone.

One of the definitions of insanity is repeating the same mistake, expecting a different result. I have a tendency to gas for a Ric, buy a Ric, not gel with the Ric, sell the Ric. Done this probably 5-6 times over the years.

Figured I'd try a Greco clone.

Nice bass, but same result. Just haven't yet closed the circle by selling it. Sits in case weeping Ric clone tears. Poor RB-700.

That would require opening the case. Might force me to play it.

Also, to your bass: The fact that you can slide the pickup from touching the bridge to touching the neck has alway intrigued me about the Rail. Do you get crazy tone variations out of it?

My 500lb Explorer knock-off jalopy bass. It has G&L MFD pickups in it. I play it every three or four years. It's a crying shame.
