My Retronix R800B gets no play these days. It's got quite a bit of competition, and it's just too 'out there' for a Dead cover band.
Kramer XL8... I'm just too old to work so hard.
'68 EB-0…because neck dive & mudbucker. It comes out every once in a while for recording.
If you listen close, you can hear the wooshing sound of TB member conversation DMs with low-ball offers being offered and accepted.
Same here…my '65 EBO for the same reasons. I played it once this year just because. 2nd from the left in the pic or it didn't happen.
My Ibanez AGB-205 short scale semihollow. I should play it more because it would probably sound great on band band's playlist. I just don't play it enough to be comfortable playing the 30" scale live. I do occasionally take it to a weekly basement jam that I also play in, but I always fumble around on it because I'm not that accustomed to it. Also, the spacing is 14mm, so it almost feels like a guitar, which also contributes to the unfamiliar feel.
But it really is a nice bass. For what I paid for it, it's pretty well made and it sounds pretty good, too. Even the B string is better than I expected (still pretty thuddy, but there's some overtones in it to make it audible)

The one I put together... but, it does have potential. I just need a few more hours in a day, to make it happen.
G&L L100 tribute. It's a 4 string that I use when I read charts. I get confused reading with a 5.
Probably my Steinberger Spirit. Being an unashamed child of the 80s, I REALLY wanted to like Steinbergers... but I just can't get on with how they sit onto me and also how sterile the tone is. But I got this Spirit to use as a portabass... its just that when I think I'm going to need a portabass, I make excuses to justify bringing a full-sizer.
My corvette fretless. It's got some weird buzzes along the neck and I think needs to be sanded. Don't play normal scale or fretless enough to have made that project a priority. It was a wedding gift and hangs proudly on the wall in my office
also my '83 Jazz because it's in a case under my bed in need of a setup and some strings, I'm not really playing my full scales but this is a birth year bass and not going anywhere

Sometimes it just takes a while before one realizes something is just not for them/meant to be.

Probably my Gibson SB-350. The pickups need to be rewound I think, because the E string is probably 20% quieter than the rest. It sounds great for a very limited number of scenarios, but otherwise doesn't get any use.

I bought the '69 from the original owner who is a friend. It was a fair price, slightly below the going rate at the time. I told him I was buying it with the intention of selling it when the price is 3 to 4 times my purchase price.

My Yamaha BB435. I love the way it sounds and the neck is great, but the bridge string spacing is tighter than my other basses and it just doesn't connect with my right hand the same way.
