What is your least played bass?

Oddly, my '67 (as I call it, to distinguish them, but all parts dated '66) is my most ever played Bass.
I think that's how I justified it - "I'm going to play the hell out of this one, and "save" the other one".

My Hohner B2A FL, the bass itself is o.k., sounds good.
But it balances quite different from my other fretless basses.
The lack of wood against your body when you play it also a reason to leave it in it's case.
Beside that, the other fretlesses sound at least as good.

It really illustrates the importance of pickup placement to the sound of an electric instrument. The instrument has no other tone adjustments, and for my purposes it doesn't need any. I find the approximate P and MM positions most useful, but just for fun, I do occasionally go full mudbucker.

Probably this one. I like it. I built/assembled it. But it doesn't really quite satisfy me like my others do. There are just a bunch of tiny things that bother me about it.

'80 Ricky 4001 - was my main punk bass early '90s because it cut through sludgy Marshall guitars so well; then used to be my bass tuned to Eb so I could play along with SRV, Hendrix, VH, etc; then became my next to the computer bass back when you could still plug straight into iMacs. I still play it once inna while - my bedroom fretted 4 string or take it out to the garage and run it stereo through two Sunn rigs just for fun.

'93 Jackson Pro Concert V - doesn't get much play anymore since I left a hard rawk band after 20+ years a couple of years ago. Super LOVE it. Plays super fast and aggressive. What I learned slap on '90s cuz it was my first and only active bass for a time 'til mid 2000s.

Have a Jerry Jones Neptune 6 tic-tac that I never play. Was a gift from my bro late '90s. Geetar players really like it, but I don't know what to do with it.

Lately it's my Fender American Professional Precision, the new(ish) Pure Vintage 63 pickup install notwithstanding. On the other hand, my Jazz with DiMarzio Relentless J pickups sounds so incredible it is back in the rotation.

In my collection three that rarely make it onstage:

1) MIM Fender Jazz Bass. It never stands out in the mix. Maybe I don't know how to properly adjust it but other basses always win out when I'm gigging ands it's often relegated to a spare.

2) Two Ric 4004's that I own. I don't use roundwound strings anymore and these beasts were definitely designed for rounds due to their intensely deep lows. I'm attempting to resuscitate them by using LaBella white nylon tapes. Same with the aforementioned Jazz Bass albeit with D'Addarrio black tapes. I love TI flats and they sound amazing on my Ric 4003's so I often use them on gigs.

3) Fender Bass VI. I love the concept, but it's hard to make it work in many cases. It sits in that weird no mans land between a bass and a guitar, yet often sounds like neither.

The other bass I often gig with is a single coil Fender P-Bass. When I use TI flats on it, it screams beautifully.

I'm not playing my short scales. I convinced myself that was the way to go as I approached (and recently reached) 70. Lighter weight, easier reach, lower string tension. But I still reach for my older #1s; a 34" PJ build and my avatar, 5 string PJ. They be bass.

Sadly, my original 1966 P-bass, which is really just a de-fretted neck, tapered down to 1 1/2" nut and epoxy coated on a parts PJ-body. Still a great bass but she just don't get the love.

Mine is my 2006 Fender MIA 60th Anniversary P Bass. I love this bass and it sounds and plays excellent but for some reason a P Bass is just not what I gravitate to. I have bought and sold so many P's but as soon as I get rid of one, within a month or two I feel like I need one in my stable. I do grab it from time to time but I am least inspired by it I guess. Not sure why because like I said is sounds so good.

My old SGC Nanyo Bass Collection fretless 5 and my Yamaha attitude. They didn't get any play time since I got my new Ibanez GWB205. They both need fixing up to be playable (sellable) again but I just can't be bothered to play anything else but my new bass.
