I used the hi-beams exclusively for YEARS! They were incredible out of the package, but got dull pretty quickly.

GHS Brite Flats L3075 (45-56-77-98) on Fender J. (First test drive)
GHS Precision Flatwound 3025 (45-60-75-95) on Fender P.
GHS Pressurewound ML7200 (44-58-80-102) + 128B on Yamaha.
D'Addario regular lights anyone? Have tried so many strings but always come back to these or the nickels...
I prefer elixirs, but I use daddario on my dean 10 string and my btb (tuned adgcf so I need a .150 string). If Elixir made larger strings I'd still use them.
I run La Bella Hellcat flats set on my Ibby SCR6.
Elixirs on the acoustic epiphone bass, the fender Zone, the electric guitars, and the acoustic 12 string.
Undecided on the new thunderbird.

Played tapewounds and flatwounds for quite a while, but just recently switched from long scale to short due to some physical issues. I was getting uneven tone across the strings with tapes and flats and finally decided to try some GHS pressure wounds - I have found the strings for my short scale. Not as noisy as regular rounds ( finger noise from sloppy technique ), even tone across all four strings. First set of strings I'm actually pleased with in years....

I've La Bella. My 1st set of tapewound, as I just learned of then recently, and wasn't real sure what to expect.
I have a p/j $200 Yamaha. Ot already had incredible sound and a fast neck, but I left 2 rounds OEM strings on and played back n forth, various settings, and was amazed.
And I like how....bouncy they are. Easier on both my hands, esp as I'm rebuilding the muscles.

I'm back to the 105 now DR Pure Blues has made my bass just sound better.
I selected other because I use rounds (J-bass, Active/Passive 5 and 6 string, P-bass), flats (P-bass), tapes (P-bass) and pressures (J-bass, P-bass) of all brands since after over 35 years of playing, I haven't found a specific brand yet...
Yesterday I put la bella on bass, it really is a great feeling on my fingers, so soft and smooth.

La Bella 760FS flatwounds on my Precision, tuned half a step down (absolute perfection tone and feel wise)
EB Super Slinky for all my roundwound needs (for standard tuning). Loved those the most on my Stingray, and love them the most on my Fender Pro Jazz.
Tried a few other strings in the meantime, but those always feel like home to me.

GHS Progressives on my Fender American Precision Deluxe. Huge sound. Will lee Dean Markely Tappered set on the American jazz bass. 47-107 W/ the Audere pre and Babicz bridge it's pretty amazing.
