What kind of strings do you use?

I once had a set of Thomastik-Infeld Jazz Medium Rounds on a 72 Fender Jazz Bass with Bartolini Pups..........one of the sweetest bright sounds I have ever heard!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I haven't tried them on the Yamadog yet.........

love em...smooth and bright (for a flatwound). i play rock and punk with fingerstyle, slap, and pick. havent changed them in 3 years.

i use DR lo-riders (stainless) on my SS2, and DR hi-beams on my fretless thumb 6.

these are the growliest strings i've ever heard, and that's what i like. i like the hibeams flexibility on the fretless and the loriders stiffness on the fretted for good dig-in ability.

+1 DR lo-riders on both my 4 and 5 string.
